The Scottish Wind Assessment Project SWAP is an independent research cooperative. It seeks to collate existing studies and conduct new research into claims made for and against windgenerated electricity and into what is an increasingly controversial political background.Its researchers are volunteers with expertise in a variety of pertinent fields. SWAP policy is generally not to name the authors of or contributors to its reports, partly because some wish to write anonymously but also because they wish their arguments to be judged on their merits.
